| Vineyard Notes: | Thirty-six vineyard blocks with three different exposures planted between 1125 and 1450 feet. Eight clones of Cabernet Sauvignon budded onto four rootstocks in three soil types and trained using three methods. Slow-growing vines that produce little fruit. While all of our wines are estate grown and bottled, we refer to this wine as the "Estate Cabernet" because it doesn't carry a vineyard block name. It is also truly representative of our entire estate. |
| Winemaker Notes: | The 2008 "Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon offers exotic notes of raspberry liqueur, chocolate-covered fruit, mole, and dried rose petals flow to the top of the glass. In the mouth, it explodes to all corners of the palate and is incredibly flavorful, dense, and juicy. Though bone dry, there is an impression of sweetness that comes from grape skins that ripened without severe heat. This wine is immediately gratifying and does not require decanting. Enjoy! - Dave Lattin, Winemaker |
